Negotiations between Georgia and China

On 9-13 May was held 2nd round of negotiations between Georgia and China, about free trade In these countries.
The Georgian delegation was led by Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Gennady Arveladze.
During the meeting, the parties noted once again that both sides are ready for negotiations by the end of 2016.
The parties exchanged offers on trade in goods and trade in services section.
Significant progress has been made in customs procedures, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, technical barriers in trade, trade protection measures, competition, intellectual property protection, trade in services and it’s parts.

The second round of talks was attended by observers for the Republic of China Special Administrative Unit of Hong Kong.Hong Kong’s government will soon take a decision to accede to the form of the Republic of China signed a free trade agreement.
Above mentioned free trade agreement is another step forward in terms of diversification of export markets, which is one of the priorities of the government. After the enactment of the agreement an additional 1.4 billion will be used on market, which will significantly increase the investment attractiveness and positive impact on the country’s economic development.
The parties reached an agreement to hold the 3rd round in July.

Georgia Ranked Second Among World’s Ancient Civilizations

Georgia has been ranked second among the best ancient civilizations in the world by an American website named The Top Tens.
From 90 ancient civilizations Georgia has been ranked second place.
According to the website, ancient Georgia surpassed ancient Egypt and came in the second place after ancient Greece. Georgia also outstripped China that was ranked number four and ancient Rome that came in the fifth place.

According to archaeological excavations in the territory of Georgia there are the first hominids in Europe 1.8 million years ago. It is believed that they were the first Europeans, and that Georgia is a country where they have spread to other parts of Europe,”

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi

Fashion industry is getting more and more serious in Georgia. Worldwide Brand Mercedes Benz Fashion Week was held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
Tbilisi was the center of Eastern European Fashion and Georgian designers’ collections was focused by world press. Tbilisi hosted 150 foreign journalists, photographers, bloggers and Buyer.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days Tbilisi hosted more than 24 domestic and international designer labels. The event attracted hundreds of visitors including press from Georgia and abroad.
Designers, artists and creative minds from different parts of the world caming to the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, to showcase their creativity and talent to fashion experts and professionals from around the globe.
The Show was attended by almost every celebrity from Georgian society and also guests from Azerbaijan, Ukraine, as well as journalists and bloggers from Europe.

Dedofilitskaro -“The Barn of Georgia”

The municipality of Dedoflistkaro is a biggest  one in Kaheti region.  The area is 2529,2 km, it’s a 17% of Kakheti. Municipality population are 32,443, its mean  8% of  population in region. There are 16 settlement, 1 town and 15 village. City population are 7378, village -25065.  The 80%of population are living  in the village.

Municipality of Dedoflistskaro  has a unique natural area, there are wild nature and landscape which is uniqe in the world. For example “Vashlovani Preserve” which is a protected area.

Also the main Sightseeing is  castle-town “Kornabuji”, it’s a historical area and the fifth century are there.

Georgian students at NASA

Meet the new winners of the second-annual Millennium Innovations Award. Four young Georgian students of the winner team named Solar were in NASA taking part in the annual innovations summit at the NASA Kennedy Space Center. Their project “Innovative technology for increasing solar cell efficiency” won at the Millennium Innovations Award competition.

The members of the winner team: Giorgi Nioradze, Vakho Kontridze, Giorgi Marjiani and Beka Mikadze

It was the second time the award took place in Georgia aiming to promote science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) disciplines with Georgia’s lower and upper secondary school students (ages 12-17) and as a result reveal the young talented Georgian inventors.

65 teams from 9 regions of Georgia submitted projects, 10 out of which advanced to the final stage. Millennium Innovations Award was carried out with the support of US Embassy in Georgia.
