Georgia Tourism Awards 2018: New Year, New Categories and Bigger Opportunities
The Georgia tourism awards season is back — and 2018 promises to be the most competitive and rewarding edition yet. The Welcome to Georgia! National Tourism Awards has officially opened its new competition year, bringing new award categories, a refreshed jury expert board, and expanded opportunities for companies across Georgia’s tourism and hospitality industry. Furthermore, this year marks a meaningful milestone: the project and Bank of Georgia are celebrating three years of successful partnership.
Three Years of Partnership With Bank of Georgia
The collaboration between the Georgia tourism awards project and Bank of Georgia has grown steadily. Two years ago, Bank of Georgia introduced a dedicated category for small and medium-sized businesses — “The Fastest Growing Company of the Year in the SME Segment Award”. This category was created to encourage and motivate companies in the SME segment of Georgia’s tourism industry. Moreover, it gave smaller businesses a meaningful platform to compete alongside larger, more established players.
Subsequently, for the 2017 edition, Bank of Georgia launched a second special category — “The Best Woman Entrepreneur in the Tourism Industry Award”. This nomination was designed to recognize and motivate female leaders who have dedicated their careers to Georgian tourism and hospitality. Additionally, from its very first year, this category attracted strong interest and response from women across the industry.
What the 2018 Competition Year Brings
This year, organizers promise considerably more for participating companies. New categories, an updated jury board, and fresh opportunities will all be announced at the Third Tourism and Hospitality Conference within Welcome to Georgia! National Tourism Awards. Consequently, companies should follow updates closely to stay ahead of the competition.
The Third Conference will include:
- Panel discussions on key trends and challenges in Georgian tourism
- B2B meetings to build direct connections with industry decision-makers
- Presentations from top market professionals on upcoming developments
The event will take place at the beginning of June 2018 at the Biltmore Hotel Tbilisi. Therefore, industry representatives are encouraged to confirm participation early.
About the Annual Conference
The Tourism and Hospitality Conference has been held annually since 2016. It serves as a unique platform where industry representatives, government officials, international and local experts, and media gather together. As a result, participants gain direct access to the latest trends, emerging challenges, and key business contacts in Georgian tourism. საქართველოს ტურიზმის ჯილდოების სეზონი დაბრუნდა — და 2018 წელი ყველაზე კონკურენტულ და შედეგიან გამოცემად გვპირდება. Welcome to Georgia! ეროვნულმა ტურიზმის ჯილდოებმა ოფიციალურად გახსნა ახალი საკონკურსო წელი ახალი კატეგორიებით, განახლებული ჟიურით და გაფართოებული შესაძლებლობებით. გარდა ამისა, წელს მნიშვნელოვანი მილსტოუნი აღინიშნება — პროექტი და საქართველოს ბანკი სამწლიანი წარმატებული პარტნიორობის იუბილეს ზეიმობენ.
სამი წლის პარტნიორობა საქართველოს ბანკთან
საქართველოს ტურიზმის ჯილდოებსა და საქართველოს ბანკს შორის თანამშრომლობა სტაბილურად განვითარდა. ორი წლის წინ საქართველოს ბანკმა შემოიღო სპეციალური კატეგორია მცირე და საშუალო ბიზნესისთვის — „წლის ყველაზე სწრაფად მზარდი კომპანია SME სეგმენტში”. ეს კატეგორია შეიქმნა ტურიზმის ინდუსტრიაში SME სეგმენტის კომპანიების წასახალისებლად. გარდა ამისა, მან მცირე ბიზნესებს მსხვილ მოთამაშეებთან თანასწორ პირობებში კონკურენციის შესაძლებლობა მისცა.
