Appearance of right hand drive cars in Tbilisi streets\u00a0seemed somewhat extraordinary for most of us.\u00a0Scepticists believed that driving similar cars was\u00a0impossible for the public unspoilt by the novelties,\u00a0while others, less bigoted, were eager to accept\u00a0the diversity and soon the city was full of cars\u00a0imported from Japan. Nobody felt perturbed by the\u00a0novelty up to the moment when the government\u00a0announced the presumptive ban on car import from\u00a0Japan from the following year. The government decision\u00a0triggered controversial results. Part of the public,\u00a0along with the experts, hailed the initiative binding it\u00a0with the necessity of providing human security, while\u00a0the other part protested strongly against the governmental\u00a0decision, setting social network and media\u00a0a buzz.<\/p>\n
Among the first to respond the issue at social network\u00a0was the member of new political centre \u2013 Girchi \u2013 Zurab\u00a0Japaridze.\u00a0\u201cThe ban will yeld contrary result\u201d.\u00a0Later the New Political Centre voiced strong argument as a\u00a0proof of their stance.\u00a0\u201cIn December 2011 European Commission\u00a0petitioned the Justice Court\u00a0of the European Union , requesting\u00a0from the court to provide a proof\u00a0that Ban on import of right hand\u00a0drive cars by Poland and Lithuania\u00a0contradicted article 2a of June\u00a08 1970 EEC Executive Order and\u00a0article 4(3) of EC executive Order of\u00a0September 5 2007\/46\/.<\/p>\n
European Commission stated that if the vehicle satisfies\u00a0the requirements of European Safety its safe\u00a0movement is possible in every member state whether\u00a0with right or left hand traff ic.
